Goals of SET Connections

• Encourage, promote and teach about the use of technology and its benefits to the special education classroom.

• Serve as an expert resource in connecting special education and technology by providing information, resources and professional development opportunities.  

• Provide opportunities for educators to create, use, and promote networking through online personal learning networks and in-person opportunities.

• To promote the use of differentiated instruction, addressing students' individual learning requirements.    

• Stay informed about and report on legislation affecting special education and technology.

• Facilitate dialogue and working relationships between special education educators and technology staff to promote the use of technology for special education.

• Develop relationships with universities and other organizations that may be helpful in promoting the use of technology for special education.
